  • Michael Smith

    Co-Founder & Managing Partner

    Michael Smith is a real estate investor based out of Washington D.C. His background as a Finance professional building high-growth companies spans over 20 years and specializes in finance operations, mergers and acquisitions, and debt financing. He holds a B.S. in Finance, with a Global Business concentration from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

    Michael launched Saorsa Capital Investments, LLC in 2021, along with his business partner Eric Wilson. Their objective was to create opportunities for business professionals to achieve financial freedom through passive investing. His past experience includes successful investments in several Limited Partnerships in the Mobile Home Park (MHP) and Retail (NNN) asset class.

    Michael and his wife, Ashley, have two young sons, and enjoy hiking, traveling, and hosting cook-outs for family and friends.

  • Eric V. Wilson

    Co-Founder & Managing Partner

    Eric Van Wilson is a real estate investor and thriving entrepreneur based out of Atlanta, GA. He has a successful multimillion-dollar revenue generating freight and logistics company that he co-founded in 2011. Prior to that, he contracted with the Department of Defense for several years. Eric holds a B.S. in Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

    In 2021, Saorsa Capital Investments, LLC was launched by Eric and his business partner Michael Smith. Using apartment syndication as the driving tool; their core objective is to create opportunities for investors to achieve financial freedom through passive investing.

    A devoted family man, Eric and his fiancé Naya have one son, Bryce. An avid runner, Eric enjoys playing basketball, working out, or just going for a walk with his family in his spare time.

  • Vinay Katari

    Managing Partner

    Vinay Katari is a real estate investor based out of Washington, D.C. By trade Mr. Katari is a computer engineer with 16 years of industry experience as a technical consultant building and implementing cutting-edge technologies. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

    He joined Saorsa Capital Investments as Managing Partner to help the firm achieve its objective of creating high-value opportunities for business professionals seeking financial freedom through passive investing. He prides himself on his ability to develop meaningful long-term relationships by helping others achieve their goals.

    Mr. Katari resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children. As a Hokie, he enjoys all things related and enjoys watching all sports particularly Hokie football and as of late, Formula 1 racing.

    Managing Partner

    Mr. Mattoo has over 20 years of experience in leadership positions in both the Public and Government sectors and extensive background in Program Management and Organizational Leadership.

    Mr. Mattoo is experienced in post-merger integration, operational process improvement, systems integration, and technical infrastructure development. He has expertise within the telecommunications, healthcare, real property, and personal property market segments. Mr. Mattoo holds a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland, an MS in Information Systems Technology and Finance from George Washington University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Catholic University of America.

    Senior Advisor, Founder Casmon Capital Group

    John Casmon controls over $90 million worth of apartments as a general partner. He hosts the Multifamily + Marketing podcast, Target Market Insights and is the co-creator of the Midwest Real Estate Networking Summit.

    John launched Casmon Capital Group to help busy professionals invest in real estate without taking on a second job. We’ve helped families invest in close to $90M in multifamily apartments to create passive income, reduce their tax obligation, and foster generational wealth. John hosts the Target Market Insights: Multifamily + Marketing podcast. In addition, he is the co-founder of the Midwest Real Estate Networking Summit. As a former marketing executive, John oversaw marketing campaigns for General Motors, PepsiCo, and MillerCoors.
